Religion, Am I an Atheist???

The question I have asked my self time and time again am I really an Atheist if I choose to seek knowledge and of course believe there is a higher being i.e. God, because if you look at the Bible Adam and Eve was punished because they both ate the forbidden fruit which gave the knowledge of Good and Evil so to speak. I don't know if I would as well get dinged for wanting to know knowledge because in fact Atheist believe primarily in fact and there is an higher being but it's maybe not God in there instance. I'm not denouncing my God, but I am fighting with the Bible let's remember who wrote the Bible, "man" I recall only a few things was written by God himself and it was the 10 Commandments; so with that being said is it okay for me to question the Bible, is it okay for me to seek knowledge and further my research other than the Bible and religious scholars. I must be honest with myself I'm not a religious person I'm more spiritual, I like to practice other religions as well which is nothing wrong with that as long as I'm not worshipping the idle god of that religion. So I'm still wondering what I should classify myself in this labeling society???
